 Above and Beyond Great Dane Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of a small group of volunteers from Maine and New Hampshire, whose mission is to find loving homes for Great Danes in need and to assist families by providing education, training tips, nutritional information and sharing our knowledge of the breed. We work with owners, other rescues, and potential adopters to make the best match possible and strive to promote the breed. The services we provide are all made possible through the tireless help of our volunteers and generous contributors.
Above and Beyond Danes are spayed or neutered if medically stable, and shots are up to date prior to adoption. We work to determine and evaluate
behavioral issues of our dogs prior to placement to help us find the best fit possible
for the dane and the owners.
Fenced yard is preferred for adoption but each applicant is evaluated based on their circumstances.
Danes are gentle creatures that can require persistence and patience and often times long periods of adjustment are needed.
